Kidnapping is a crime involving danger to a person. Pennsylvania Law defines kidnapping as the unlawful removal of a person against their will by force, threat or deception, from the place where they were found, or the unlawful confining of another person for a substantial period in a place of isolation, with any of the following intentions:

In the case of a victim who is incapacitated, or who is under 14 years old, the taking or holding of the victim without the consent of their parent or guardian or parent, is considered kidnapping.

Kidnapping is a 1st degree felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison., and additional penalties assessed under Federal laws will apply if a kidnapped victim is transported across state lines.
