LICENSE REVOCATION LAWYERS
There are many different traffic and vehicle violations which can lead to a driver’s license suspension and/or revocation in Pennsylvania. Additionally, there are also license revocations and suspensions ordered by the: court for administrative reasons.
Your license may have been suspended for the commission of certain traffic offenses such as:
- DUI
- Hit and run
- Drug possession
- Racing
- Excessive Points
- Breath test refusal
- Underage drinking
- Operating a vehicle without a license, registration or insurance
A driver’s license can also become suspended as sanctions under administrative or family law, such as owing arrearages on child support.
If you are found driving on a suspended license you will be charged with a summary offense. The penalty imposed can be as much as 90 days in jail, and fines starting at $100. Your suspension may also be extended in length or your licenses become revoked altogether.
Having your license suspended or revoked can continue to cause problems for you, even after it has become reinstated. Car insurance companies may view you as a “high risk” for auto insurance and cause you to pay highly increased rates or even suffer from uninsurability.
Its important to obtain the advice of legal council if you license becomes suspended or revoked, in order to guide you around the pitfalls surrounding the process, and avoid problems had issues for years beyond the actual date of the suspension.
