SEX CRIMES

There are many types of offenses that fall under the umbrella of "sex offenses," including

• Distribution of child pornography,
• Sexual battery,
• Indecent exposure,
• Lewd or lascivious conduct,
• Solicitation,
• Prostitution ,
• Statutory rape,
• Date rape,
• Obscenity, and many, many more.

In cases where juveniles are involved, almost every state has implemented a form of Megan’s Law which imposes, upon conviction, burdens such as

• Registration,
• Community notification, and
• Counseling which in certain circumstances can be life long obligations.
